Sculptra® is a product based on poly-L-lactic acid, a substance totally absorbed by the body, which is injected in a diluted solution and applied to the face or body to help stimulate and produce new collagen.
Sculptra® is an FDA approved product that helps to counteract the loss of collagen in the body, which is an underlying cause of aging, thus stimulating its production with the aim of improving the quality and elasticity of the skin.
This product is applied through the use of cannulas and, on average, at least 3 sessions are necessary, with an interval of 1 month between them, depending on the amount of collagen created. The first results start to be noticeable after 4 to 6 weeks, the treated area becomes firmer and there is an improvement in the quality of the skin. These results can last up to 2 years, but in order to maintain them, it is recommended that the procedure be repeated once a year.
