Buttock augmentation is a medical procedure that involves the use of injectables to enhance, contour, and change the shape of the buttocks without surgery.
This procedure can be performed through the injection of hyaluronic acid or poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra®) into the patient's buttocks.
The major difference lies in the immediate, though short-term, results achieved with hyaluronic acid, whereas Sculptra® shows greater effectiveness over time in stimulating the natural production of collagen by the body, triggering an inflammatory reaction, thereby creating a combination of collagen and scar tissue that lifts and firms the buttocks.
Treatment
It is a painless procedure since it involves anesthesia.
In the case of poly-L-lactic acid injection, the results are gradual and long-lasting, with a natural and subtle appearance. The treatment does not require downtime; however, it is not recommended to attend the gym on the same day.
The results begin to be visible three weeks after the first session. Three sessions are recommended to achieve the desired results. The final results are visible three months after the treatment. Although the results of this procedure are long-lasting (2 to 3 years), they are not permanent.
