Tattoo Removal
The latest laser technology from Alma Lasers is the method chosen by Dr. Marta Beauty to remove a tattoo more effectively and safely.
This is a selective procedure as the laser is targeted only at the pigmented area, passing through the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin) without damaging it, reaching the pigment and breaking down the existing ink layers in order to fragment the tattoo into smaller particles. These micro-particles will naturally be eliminated in the days following the treatment.
Factors such as the type of tattoo, its size, depth, the type of ink, and the colors used should be considered to determine the number of sessions required for each tattoo and the appropriate laser to use.
However, it is recommended to undergo around 7 sessions with an interval of 6 to 8 weeks between each.
In general, black tattoos, with uniform coloring and fine lines, are easier to remove as the laser has a greater affinity for dark colors. As a result, these tattoos require fewer sessions.
On the other hand, colored tattoos are more difficult to remove and, as a result, may change color during the process, usually requiring a greater number of sessions. Some colors, such as yellow, may not be fully removable, leaving a residual shadow.
