Pixel CO2

The power of precision
What is?

At Dr Marta Beauty Clinic we use the latest state-of-the-art laser technology, Alma® Pixel CO2. It is a carbon dioxide laser used as a skin resurfacing, stimulating the production of collagen, improving its elasticity, wrinkles, scars and solar lentigo.

This Pixel CO2 system uses advanced precision laser technology and a wide selection of handles and configurations that enable a wide variety of treatment options.

How does it work?

The thin layers of the skin are vaporized through a beam of high energy light, rapidly increasing the temperature of the tissues and destroying the epidermis (correcting superficial imperfections giving rise to new skin), while causing a controlled lesion in the dermis (with consequent improvement of wrinkles and sagging).

This laser will penetrate the dermis through thermal micro-channels, creating ablative and thermal effects, while leaving the surrounding tissue intact.

These microlesions do trigger a natural healing process, stimulating the production of new collagen, increasing the elasticity and quality of the skin.

Who is a candidate?

  • Photoaging of the skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Acne marks
  • Expression wrinkles
  • Stretch marks
  • Scars
  • Intimate rejuvenation (Femilift – performed on any phototypes)

How long is the session?

Between 30 to 45 minutes.

Is it painful?

In the case of an ablative fractional laser, precautions must be taken during treatment. In this way, an anesthetic cream is placed in the area to be treated so that the treatment is as comfortable as possible, during which you are also entitled to a cooling system to relieve thermal sensation. After the session you have a minimum recovery time of approximately 7-10 days.

Is it safe?

Yes, this laser is known for its versatility and safety in medical-aesthetic applications. The most common side effects that may occur, although temporary, are edema and erythema of the skin.

How often should it be done?

The number of sessions depends on the indication, on average 2-4 sessions are needed with an interval of 2 months. However, usually a treatment for acne scars requires a larger number of sessions compared to a treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

How long do the results last?

It is important to keep in mind that with increasing age, collagen production decreases, so it is important to hold seasonal sessions so that the results are maintained. It is also important to adopt a daily skin care routine, namely the application of sun protection, to prevent the appearance of future marks and imperfections.
